Do I need to use special shampoo after getting the Keratin hair treatment?

I got my hair straightened with it, but the Keratin shampoo/conditioner is really expensive. Could I go on without it, or are there any cheaper alternatives? I just don't want the effect to waste away. I was told the main problem with normal shampoo is that the sulfate could hurt the keratin treatment. Are there any cheap sulfate-free shampoos?Do I need to use special shampoo after getting the Keratin hair treatment?
Most of the cheap sulfate free shampoos/conditions make it harder to notice that they dont have sulfate. If you find a nice shampoo that you like then read the back and check to see if it says anything about it being safe for hair treated with chemicals and such.

I hope this helps!!Do I need to use special shampoo after getting the Keratin hair treatment?
L'oreal makes a sulfate free shampoo and it works great. I use it and my Keratin has lasted for around 4 months now. It doesn't have that great of a smell, but it doesn't have sulfate and it's around 3.99 a bottle. Hope I helped :)
My friend did hers and I recomended the new loreal sulfate free shampoo, it has been few month for her and she said it works wonderful and its cheap.
