Hair treatment?

My hair used to be straight and silky (I'm a guy), but when I was in high school I used hair gels for several years. Few years after I decided to stop using it, I stopped using it for about 4-5 yrs, but when I stopped using it my hair became curly and seems dry and burnt. What hair treatment should I get to have healthy straight hair. I tried to shave my head bald before hoping my hair would get straight as it grows hehehe. Hope you guys help me out. Thanks!Hair treatment?
for being dry and burnt: You can go to a salon usually and ask them to restore your hair. I usually do that after each summer when the sun has dried out my hair from the beach. You can also use cholesterol creme or leave in conditioner. Get shampoo made for restoration of hair, and don't wash it every day, let your hair's natural oils do their job. You can shower just dont wash your hair more than like every 2 days.

For straiter hair: you can put in straitening creme, use a straitener, or blow dry it with a diffuser and take a brush to it and blow dry it strait, go get it thermally straitened at a salon. theres plenty of things.

Good luck. =]Hair treatment?
well you can get it permanently strained but

hey use Way to many chemicals. its bad for your hair
Try a hot oil treatment. My mom always takes me for one when my hair is dry / itchy / flaky.
Its really hard to go back naturally straight without using chemicals, i think your hair just changes as you get older because i used to hair pin straight hair and now its wavy, so it might not be possible to get it back to exactly how it was

If you shaved it and didnt go back to how it was, its probably just because as i said up there your hair changes.

You should just try using shampoos that are made for straight hair and it might help out a bit!
