Will the keratin hair treatment work on my very coarse and dry hair?

i have african-american hair and its very dry and curly...i just got fed up with bad hair days :( will the treatment work and have you tried it?? if my hair gets longer will the roots be soft and silky or the same as my old hair??? pls help im really desperate :(Will the keratin hair treatment work on my very coarse and dry hair?
Is the keratin treatment a protein treatment? If so, make sure you do it only as often as the bottle specifies. Too much protein is bad for your hair and can cause split ends, dryness, damage, and breakage. Will the keratin hair treatment work on my very coarse and dry hair?
I can't speak about keratin hair treatments, but whenever you have ANY service (color, chemical [perm, straighten], etc) done to your hair, your roots will grow out like your old hair. You will have to keep having the roots re-done.
